A genuinely different kind of metallic marker — one that produces a mirror-like, highly reflective chrome finish rather than the soft sheen of a standard silver acrylic paint pen. The Royal & Langnickel Silver Chrome Marker is a single marker with a 3mm tip, delivering the full chrome effect in a size suited to broader strokes, lettering, filling, and coverage work.

The chrome ink technology is the defining quality. Where standard silver markers produce a metallic colour that reads as silver, chrome markers produce a genuinely reflective surface that catches and mirrors the surroundings — the difference is significant and immediately visible. The finish is closer to chrome tape or a mirrored surface than to conventional metallic paint, giving a visual quality that stands out in illustration, custom art, product customisation, and any application where maximum metallic impact is the aim.

The acrylic-based ink is smooth, consistent, and quick-drying — permanent and water-resistant once dry on most surfaces. The marker works on canvas, glass, fabric, wood, metal, stone, plastic, ceramics, and most other surfaces, making it genuinely versatile across a wide range of craft, art, and customisation applications. The chrome finish is particularly dramatic on dark and non-porous surfaces — black card, dark paper, glass, and metal — where the reflective quality shows at its most striking.

Shake well before use, prime the tip on scrap paper until the ink flows, and recap firmly after use to keep the tip in good condition.

Tip size: 3mm
Ink: Silver chrome acrylic — highly reflective, mirror-like finish
Suitable for: Canvas, glass, fabric, wood, metal, stone, plastic, ceramic and more

What makes a chrome marker different from a standard metallic marker?
Standard metallic markers produce a shiny silver colour — chrome markers produce a genuinely reflective, mirror-like surface that catches and reflects the surroundings. The difference is visually significant — chrome has considerably more depth and reflectivity than standard metallic paint pen ink.

Is it permanent once dry?
Yes — the acrylic-based chrome ink is permanent and water-resistant once fully dry on most surfaces. On non-porous surfaces such as glass it can be removed before drying but sets permanently once cured.

What surfaces does the chrome effect show best on?
The mirror-like chrome finish is most dramatic on dark and non-porous surfaces — black card, dark paper, glass, and metal — where the reflective quality is most visible and most striking.

How do you prepare the marker before first use?
Shake well with the cap on until the ball rattles, then press the tip down firmly on scrap paper until the ink begins to flow. The marker is then ready to use. Recap firmly after use to prevent the tip drying out.
