Three bottles of extremely fluid, richly pigmented metallic acrylic art ink — Gold, Silver, and Copper — in the same excellent dropper bottle format as the Primary and Neon sets. A smaller, more focused set that does one thing exceptionally well: delivering genuine metallic shimmer and lustre in a fluid ink that flows freely through brushes, dip pens, airbrushes, and onto almost any surface.

Each 30ml bottle is supplied with a dropper for precise, controlled dispensing — loading a brush or nib cleanly, dropping colour onto a wet surface for fluid effects, or measuring a consistent amount into a palette for mixing and blending. The metallic pigments are suspended in the same acrylic-based, quick-drying, water-resistant, non-clogging formula used across the Essentials ink range, ensuring the metallic particles flow evenly without settling unevenly or clogging fine nibs and pen mechanisms. Shake well before use to keep the metallic particles in suspension.

Gold, Silver, and Copper are the three most widely used metallic ink colours and together they cover the full range of warm and cool metallic tones — Gold for warmth, richness, and a classic decorative quality; Silver for cool, contemporary brightness; Copper for the warm, antique, reddish metallic tone that has become one of the most fashionable accent colours in contemporary illustration and lettering. All three show with striking clarity on dark paper, black card, and dark-toned surfaces, making them particularly valuable for hand lettering on dark backgrounds, adding metallic accents to mixed media work, celestial and night-sky illustration, and botanical art where gold and copper highlights bring a luxurious quality to finished pieces.

Contents: 3 x 30ml bottles with droppers
Colours: Gold, Silver, Copper
Paint type: Acrylic-based metallic pigmented ink — quick-drying, permanent, water-resistant, non-clogging
Suitable for: Painting, pouring, drawing, staining, glazing, hand lettering, airbrushing, dip pen

Do the metallic inks need to be shaken before use?
Yes — shake each bottle well before use to keep the metallic pigment particles evenly suspended in the ink. If the metallic particles are allowed to settle without shaking, the ink will flow without the metallic effect until they are redistributed.

Can they be used in a dip pen or technical pen?
Yes — the non-clogging, extremely fluid formula is designed for use in dip pens, technical pens, and airbrushes as well as with brushes. Clean pens thoroughly after use before the ink dries, as metallic inks can be more difficult to clear than standard inks if left to dry in a nib.

Do the metallic inks show on dark surfaces?
Yes — Gold, Silver, and Copper are all opaque enough to show clearly on dark paper, black card, and dark-toned surfaces, where the metallic quality is most dramatic and most visually effective.

How does the Metallic set relate to the Primary and Neon sets?
All three sets use the same acrylic-based ink formulation in 30ml dropper bottles. The Primary set has six standard colours and the Neon set has six fluorescent-adjacent colours. The Metallic set has three colours — Gold, Silver, and Copper — in a smaller set focused specifically on metallic accent and decorative work. All three sets are fully compatible and can be used alongside one another.
