Two beautifully considered colour palettes for decorating glass and porcelain — one rich and earthy, one shimmering and metallic — each in five generous 30ml pots of water-based paint that fixes permanently in a domestic oven and becomes dishwasher safe once cured. The Creativ Company Glass and Porcelain Paint range makes high-quality ceramic and glass decoration genuinely accessible, with a straightforward process and professional-looking results.
The paint is applied to clean, dry, residue-free glass or porcelain surfaces with a brush. Allow to dry for four hours, then place the piece in a cold oven, heat to 180°C, and harden for 20 minutes. Allow to cool inside the oven before removing. Once cured, the decoration is permanent and dishwasher safe — an important practical consideration for items that will be used regularly. As with all glass and porcelain paints, avoid decorating areas that will come into direct contact with food or drink.
We stock two colour variants — please select your preferred palette when adding to basket:
Metallic Colours (314111) — Gold, Silver, Bronze, Oxide Yellow, and Black. An opaque, glossy metallic finish that catches and reflects light with a genuine sheen, adding depth and a luxurious quality to any design. The five colours work naturally as a coordinated palette — warm metals alongside a cool silver, the rich darkness of oxide yellow, and a crisp black for outline and detail work. Suitable as both a solid colour fill and for fine detailed decoration.
Nature Colours (314132) — Plum, Bottle Green, Coffee, Bordeaux, and Lemon Yellow. A transparent paint that allows the natural surface of the glass or porcelain to show through, giving colour a depth and translucency that opaque paint cannot achieve. The nature palette is rich, botanical, and deeply saturated — warm earthy tones and jewel-like colours that suit vases, glassware, mugs, and decorative pieces where a sophisticated, artisan quality is the aim.
How do you fix the paint permanently?
Apply to a clean, dry surface and allow to dry for four hours. Place in a cold oven, heat to 180°C, and harden for 20 minutes. Allow to cool inside the oven before removing. Once cured the decoration is permanent and dishwasher safe.
What is the difference between the Metallic and Nature Colours?
The Metallic colours are opaque with a glossy, light-reflective metallic finish. The Nature colours are transparent — they allow the glass or porcelain surface to show through, giving a deeper, more luminous quality suited to glassware and translucent surfaces.
What surfaces can these paints be used on?
Glass and porcelain — including mugs, glasses, bowls, vases, plates, and other glass or porcelain items. The surface must be clean, dry, and completely free of grease and residue before painting. Do not decorate areas that will come into direct contact with food or drink.
Can the paints be mixed together?
Yes — colours within the same variant can be mixed to create custom shades. The Metallic and Nature colours can also be used alongside one another on the same piece as the fixing process is identical for both.
