Plein Air Competition 2024 - Rules

Hebden Bridge Plein Air 2024 competition hosted by Craft and Canvas and Northlight Studios.

What is Plein Air?

Plein Air artists capture the spirit and essence of a landscape or subject by incorporating natural light, colour, and movement into their works. What better way to capture the unique landscape in and around Hebden Bridge.

The event is open to any artist who paints using the Plein Air technique in oil, pencil, ink, watercolour, acrylic, or pastel. Both artist and subject must be outdoors, and photographs are NOT used.
