Calderdale Plein Air Competition 2026

Calderdale's plein air painting competition returns for 2026 on Saturday 12th September.

Join us for a day of outdoor painting in the beautiful landscapes around Hebden Bridge. Set up your easel outdoors and spend the day capturing the local scenery, working with natural light and changing weather conditions.

This competition gives artists the chance to paint directly from nature, creating finished works in just one day. You'll be working alongside other artists, all tackling the same challenge of painting outdoors within the time limit.
