DMC Soluble Canvas is a dissolvable fabric used for cross-stitch embroidery on items that don't have an even weave, like clothing, towels, or bags.
Here's how it works: You place the soluble canvas on top of your fabric and stitch your design through both layers as you normally would. The canvas grid helps you keep your stitches even and properly spaced. Once you've finished your embroidery, you simply soak the item in warm water. The canvas dissolves completely, leaving only your stitched design on the fabric underneath.
